Japanese architect and father of “haiku” architecture (Japanese for “nothingness”), Tadao Ando stars as the main subject in the documentary, “From Emptiness to Infinity.” The 52-minute film follows Ando as he works and intimately reveals the inspiration behind his minimalist designs. The documentary is part of the Architecture and Design Film Festival, currently happening in New York and coming to Los Angeles and Chicago early next year. If you’re in New York, buy tickets to see the film on October 18 or 20. Visit here for a complete list of movies and show times.
