We take a look at the incredible production process for Kaneko‘s Craftsman Series of eyewear. Japanese artisans who’ve been in the family handed-down craft for decades use their wisdom and mastery to make each piece, shaving ivory-like celluloid or welting burning metal by hand. The series includes five styles, each named after its maker. Watch the video below on detailed snippets of each craftsman’s production process. It has no English translation, but trust us, it’s worth the watch. Go here to see the frames.
