Living Proof magazine recently got an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming KAWS exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. After a massive 30-foot Companion sat in Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station for a few months, KAWS returns to the city for a special exhibition at the legendary PAFA. The exhibition features both indoor and outdoor components, with a brand new nine-foot sculpture sitting above the front entrance of the Academy’s Historic Landmark Building. The indoor component of “KAWS @ PAFA” will feature over 60 KAWS paintings and sculptures—some of them newly created for this exhibition—in the galleries of the Historic Landmark Building. The “KAWS @ PAFA” exhibition will be on view from October 12 through January 5, 2014 while the sculpture on the front facade will remain until August 2014.
