Banksy heads to Brooklyn for day 17 of his month-long street art exhibition “Better Out Than In” in New York City. Making use of a preexisting circular feature on a building in Williamsburg, two Japanese geishas are drawn as if they are on a bridge with a small bonsai tree below. The artist once again uses location to maximum effect as he integrates local surroundings into his work. Along with today’s piece, Banksy included a picture of today’s New York Post newspaper which had him as front page news, declaring that the NYPD are hunting down the artist. In true Banksy style, he’s written “I don’t read what I believe in the papers.” Take from that what you will.
