The Y-3 Qasa High has been one of the strongest and most eagerly anticipated new sneaker silhouettes to come from the collaborative brand by adidas and Yohji Yamamoto in a long time. We first broke the news on the sneaker with our video preview and once the sneaker hit retailers, it also sold out in matter of no time.
For Spring/Summer 2014 Y-3 follows up with the Qasa Racer. While keeping the chunky sole, the brand has updated the upper, which now comes in a mix of mesh, leather and neoprene. Also the side-panel construction has changed and seems more robust this time around. We tried the Qasa High a while ago and even though the “ninja” sneaker looks very interesting, we felt like it was not stable enough in the ankle area, which now seems to be solved with the Qasa Racer. The sneaker comes in black and white colorways next season.
