Ducati has just unveiled the new 1199 Superleggera motorcycle for a 2014 release. The limited-production lightweight bike features titanium, magnesium and carbon fiber parts resulting in “the highest power-to-weight ratio of any production motorcycle.” Powered by a 1198cc L-twin engine with four valve cylinder heads, the bike gives up to 200 horsepower at 11,500 rpm. A lightweight lithium-ion battery and titanium exhaust, Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes help keep the weight down to under 341 pounds. A limited-production run of only 500 with nearly 75 percent already spoken for means you’d better get in quick.
