For his current 39-city North American tour, ‘Would You Like A Tour?,’ Drake is wearing unique pieces from Calvin Klein Collection. Designed by the brand’s Creative Director Italo Zucchelli, the pieces are divided into three distinct capsule collections: one based on a photographic print from Calvin Klein’s spring collection featuring clouds and blue skies; another utilizing high-tech fabrics with neon details and reflective accents, and the third crafted solely from denim. Specific pieces include bomber jackets, hoodies, T-shirts, tanks and pants.
The news comes shortly after word of Maison Martin Margiela announcing its part in Kanye West‘s Yeezus tour, for which the French fashion house developed a series of handmade, head-enveloping veils, a blanket coat, an elongated bomber jacket, and printed trousers.
These two crossover artists are just the latest to have their tour wardrobes designed by global high-fashion brands and provide further evidence for hip-hop artists aligning themselves more closely with the aesthetics of high fashion. No word yet if and when the pieces will be available for purchase but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as we hear more.
