Plane House by K Studio

The horizontal planes influencing the design of Plane House are what gives it its name. Designed by K Studio, the home on the Greek island of Skaithos was created to merge the internal and external elements, capitalizing on both. Concrete, light timber flooring, and white landscaping reflects the natural sunlight of the area and ties the house to its environment. The large pool is situated on the front terrace to take in the 270-degree view over the coastline and to provide a cooling breeze as the north wind flows uphill over the water’s surface. Cooking, dining, and entertaining areas are merged in multi use spaces to get rid of definite lines and complete the feeling of openness.
