Things are certainly changing. NIGO
has left his brand A Bathing Ape
and recently also announced that he would be leaving his studio in Tokyo. Some of you might not be aware but the studio was in some ways the heart of the brand, at least in terms of what it stood for. The founder’s obsession with pop culture and the thousands of items that he collected over the last 20 years in various fields were partly presented in his studio space and gave a good understanding of what BAPE was all about.
To celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary, BAPE is opening its studio’s doors to the public. On display you’ll find archival BAPE items, furniture, toys, art, jewelry, cars, and a lot more. The “BAPELAND” exhibition will remain open from November 9 until November 24, so if you happen to be in Tokyo this is a must-see space.
Opening Hours: 11:30 to 19:30
Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 2-28-12 Jingu-mae
