For their Spring/Summer 2014 collection of soft accessories, Marwood was inspired by the contrast of man-made mosaic patterns from “old English hallways” and “time-worn surfaces of deserted Icelandic farm houses.” That may explain why, unlike their past collections, this season’s set of ties, pocket squares and scarves have a more muted color palette, like mint green, lavender and khaki. The pieces come in woven silk jacquards, hand-drawn patterns and lace with silk or mesh lining. Suspenders and hand-dyed mohair socks also make appearance, in the same subdued colors and microprints. All made in the UK.
