Yesterday we got a peek at the Kith NYC “Daytona” apparel capsule collection designed to complement the upcoming “Daytona” 1600, and today we get to take a closer look at Ronnie Fieg‘s latest collaboration with New Balance. Fifteen months in the making, the sneaker is inspired by the New York designer’s childhood trips to Daytona Beach in Florida and comes blocked with three micro-perforated leathers. The heel consists of a tan luggage leather, the saddle is a 1H brushed off white nubuck, and finishing off the shoe is a bolded navy oily pigskin. Matching navy accents are seen on the branded heel, “N” side panel patch, and on the midsole and sockliner. Pink accents finish off the set of co-branded lace locks on the front, the same “N” side panel patch, on detailed sections of the toe box, and under the tongue. An ABZORB cushioned midsole adds shock absorption for comfort to each pair.
3M detailing in pink, white and ultramarine match the three sets of laces included, while each pair of shoes comes packaged with a special set of Kith x Stance “Daytona” Super invisible socks.
