American artist Daniel Arsham presents the first piece in “Future Relic,” a new series of multiple objects, created as limited-editions of 500. Mobile Phone kicks off this series, presenting an archetypal brick phone casted from a mixture of plaster and glass particles. Arsham’s petrified objects serve as anthropological relics, in this case a mimic of an early cellular phone. He imagines these objects buried for years, later discovered in an archeological dig.
