Stone Island place emphasis on preserving their heritage and history by archiving their designs. The original building to house this archive was severely damaged in 2012 by an earthquake, so Stone Island have inaugurated a new structure at the Ravarino Headquarters in the Italian province of Modena. The architecture is industrial, in keeping with the most rigid earthquake-proof parameters, with a strong material matrix constructed from reinforced concrete, COR-TEN steel and glass. The 18,000 square meters that are dedicated to the Stone Island archive contains over 20,000 items of clothing, all of which have contributed to build the style and brand that we know so well today.
