We’ve covered the Clothsurgeon bespoke service concept before and given you a taste of what sort of garments have been cooked up. Now, here’s a new one that was created especially for Rashad “Ringo” Smith, co-producer of the Space Jam soundtrack, from a jacket he was originally given by Michael Jordan on the set of the movie back in 1996. Taking inspiration from the Nike Jordan 11, the sneaker worn in the movie, Clothsurgeon reworked it into a varsity jacket. Details include patent leather welt pockets, side seam tapes emulating the lace loops of the sneakers, and the original back of the jacket which features the iconic Space Jam logo. The woven blue acrylic/merino mix herringbone captures the zigzag sole of the kicks and the lining is digitally printed with images from the film, as is the picture of Michael Jordan on the inside of the invisible zip pocket on the sleeve. Visit the Clothsurgeon website for more information on the bespoke service.
