A specialist in early photographic techniques, London-based Walter Hugo lends his skills to Paul Smith denim and workwear line Red Ear. The Fall Winter 2013 lookbook consists of eight protraits created using an oversized pinhole camera, fitted with a nineteenth century brass lens, each shot requiring the model to sit perfectly still with exposure taking at least four seconds. Images processed immediately on-site, the results were individually hand-coloured, a method popular in early Japanese photography. Take a look at the video below for a peek behind the scenes on shoot day.
