Audi will be presenting a fascinating new concept car at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next week. The Audi Sport quattro laserlight concept reminds of the classic Sport quattro of 1983 while pointing towards the future – with the latest of the brand’s technologies in plug-in hybrid drives, user control and display interfaces and lighting technology. As the name suggests, the lighting technology presented on the new concept car is revolutionary. Audi combines matrix LED and laser light technologies in the new system. The laser high-beam light has approximately twice the lighting range and three times the luminosity of LED high beam lights. Audi has become known for being an innovator in automotive lightning technology, also having introduced LED technology many years ago and made it mainstream. The concept car sprints from 0-100 km/h in just under four seconds and reaches a high speed of 305 km/h with its hybrid V8 engine.
