Ahead of its debut at next week’s Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new GLA45 AMG for 2015. The all-wheel-drive packs a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine with 355 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, allowing the SUV to reach 0-60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds. It comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with Manual, Sport and Comfort modes, as well as nominal front-wheel drive and a race start function. Reworked and stiffened suspension, and a Curve Dynamic Assist function in the ESP programming works by clamping the inside rear wheel to stop understeer. A choice of wheel options and extra sports features including suspension and exhaust can be added at an additional cost. We’ll keep you up to date from the Detroit Motor Show next week.
