Vans are known for their penchant for collaborations, and this time they’ve turned to the socially responsible fashion company Della on a six-piece capsule collection of footwear for the spring season. The collaboration is an opportunity to heighten awareness of Della’s dedication to empowering the women of the Volta Region of West Ghana, West Africa, making a range of great sneakers in the process. Vans tapped into Della’s team of designers to handcraft fabrics through a local batik process, creating one-of-a-kind prints that were applied to the classic SK8-Hi Reissue, Era, Authentic, and the SK8-Hi Slim. The colors are inspired by the landscape and culture of the region, and will look just as fitting on any urban sidewalk. The range arrive globally at Vans retail locations this January.
