Watch the Official Video for King Krule’s “A Lizard State”

Taking inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock, King Krule‘s latest video for “A Lizard State” takes us back to the fifites. Inspired by Hitchcock’s film Dial M for Murder, the video also features an intro from the director himself, from the popular Alfred Hitchcock Presents series. The black-and-white clip recreates the iconic scene from the film in which Grace Kelly answers the telephone, while the singer defies gravity, walking on the walls of the set in a running gag from the intro. Directed by Jamie-James Medina, the suitably retro aesthetic matches the young Brit’s howling vocals and jazz-laced melody of the song.
