“Drawing inspiration from isolated and challenging arctic landscapes” duo Baartmans and Siegel looked to bleak climates and challenging terrain for their Fall Winter 2014 collection. Refined cold weather wear, outer layers took the spotlight with suit cut puffa jackets, doe-skin wool dress coats, down bomber jackets, melton wool parkas and an impressive mink trench coat. Elevating familiar, functional garments to the next level, fabrics and construction were spot-on from start to finish. Very much in line with the no-nonsense outerwear theme, the London Collections: Men presentation saw the unveiling of a capsule collection with Penfield, three sweet coats that we’ll take a closer look at soon. With relaxed flannels, mohair fisherman sweaters, crisp white shirts and logo sweatshirts all ready to layer beneath, head to the gallery for a closer look.
