Where the runway meets the street

Italian fashion house Etro surprised us with their Fall/Winter 2014 collection of characteristically British suiting. Classic checks, plaids, gingham and windowpanes showed up in fitted three-piece suits (and especially tightly fitting pants) styled with strong accessories in the same patterns. Their signature paisley only showed up as scarves or some accent coats with darker, more subtle tones than the bright pops we are used to from the brand. The main highlight of the collection was the army of tailors that walked the runway, with scissors and measuring sticks in hand.
