Ace Hotel just keep on churning them out, their latest property located in Downtown Los Angeles, taking over the historic and ornate 1927 United Artists building used primarily as a film studio. LA collective Commune Design responsible for the interiors, 180 rooms that mix the usual Ace minimalism with back in the day Hollywood glamour found in the restored original features. A rooftop “Upstairs” pool and lounge inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis House features a sunken bar and inside the rooms you’ll find Revo radios, Rudy’s Barbershop products, Pendleton blankets and Noguchi lamps.
