The Croatian-born, German-raised fashion designer Damir Doma sent his Fall/Winter 2014 collection out onto the runway at Paris Fashion Week. The texture-heavy collection was a sophisticated take on some classic designs, which were updated by an unusual combination of materials. Brushed alpaca featured on a shawl-collared coat and jacquard fabrics brought interest to sharply cut jackets, tapered trousers and short-sleeved Nehru shirts. Bomber jackets and tunic parkas were given a futuristic edge through the use of glossy materials, which were also applied to the sleeves of shirts.
