For Fall 2014, AMI designer Alexandre Mattiussi continued on with his chilled out, down to earth take on Parisian street fashion. Staging his first-ever runway show, Mattiussi brought AMI to the Palais de Tokyo with a snowy Parisian street scene, complete with antique street lamps and models drawn from “reality.” Focusing on toned-down basics, the Fall 2014 line is a classic wardrobe with wool topcoats, leather bombers, turtleneck sweaters, plaid shirts and oversized scarves. All in all a charming show that reinforced the importance of “real” clothes, even in the setting of fashion week. Which is to say, AMI has been a popular brand over the past few seasons and sees no sign of letting up.
