French fashion house Balenciaga presented their Fall/Winter 2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Designed by a team under Alexander Wang’s direction, the collection stuck to a palette of black and grey with rounded, dropped shoulder on overcoats that were a reference to the iconic egg-shape of the brand. Duffle coats and tailored jackets were crafted from the unusual “Cracnil” fabric, a crinkled faux leather that was created in the fifties. Wang’s presence as creative director was noticeable through pixelated prints, origami-shapes, sports-style nylon tops and silver zippers.
