New from JBL is the L16 speaker box, part of their “The Authentics” collection of monitors that look to bring back the classic JBL look this 2014. The L16 is on helluva, a speaker finished in walnut and packed with all the wireless connections you need in today’s market – AirPlay, DNLA and Bluetooth – alongside classic analog and digital inputs. But the real gem of the JBL L16 is the inclusion of a phono preamp stage for connecting turntables without the need for an outboard amp; that’s serious stuff.

The JBL L16 borrows its look from the JBL L100 series of the 1960s and does it with class. We’re excited to test drive the L16 very soon. More to come.
