For the first time fashion designer Umit Benan showed his collection in Paris, after having been a Milan regular for many years. For Fall 2014 the designer proposed a 1940s Americana-themed collection, with heavy baseball influences. If Givenchy was all about basketball, then Benan was all about baseball and staying in the sport’s terminology, hit a home run with the looks. Vintage tailoring was combined with a beautiful set of colors and fabrics that represent the era too well. Overall Umit Benan continued to push his relaxed oversized fits, yet did also not lose his elegant touch.
