More Mark McNairy news. Not content with taking control over at Woolrich Woolen Mills, the NYC designer turns his attention to footwear for Generic Surplus Spring 2014. Focusing on one shoe, the chukka, McNairy describes “I had a vintage sneaker that I’ve kept in my basement for years, to me, it was the perfect chukka sneaker. When I started the project, I referenced mine and sort of merged it with the Generic one.” Available in sand, natural, military green and dark navy, natural cotton, featuring waxed laces, nickel eyelets and an embroidered “TCMFB” (Taking Care of Mother Fucking Business) lightning bolt logo on the tongue.
