This classic 1968 Yamaha XS650 took over a year to locate and obtain, but just two months to completely transform. Barata Dwiputra, lead builder of Thrive Motorcycles, was inspired by wood-burning stoves for the design of the bike, which included a complete engine overhaul and hand-fabricated bodywork. Sticking to a color palette of black, with brass and copper accents, the redesign includes a pair of leather belts under the battery box that can hold a flannel shirt or jacket in place. Also built in is a custom canvas bag holding the tools to maintain the Yamaha XS650.
