Villa 153 by ISV Architects

A refurbishment project of an old 1960s building, ISV Architects recently redesigned this villa in order to meet a modern family’s needs. After demolishing most of the initial building, the load-bearing structure was the only thing that was kept and then repaired or retrofitted when needed. With emphasis on the entrance of the villa, a long and wide corridor was designed that alternates from covered to open parts of different heights. The lighting is dramatic and the geometry is simple. Furthermore, the atmosphere and minimalism of the villa is emphasized by light colors including white, beige and grey.
