We continue to come back to Japanese architecture and interiors for the simple reason that almost every aspect of their design is considered and reconsidered. Case in point is this wonderful teahouse, Jugetsudo Kabukiza, connected to the Kabukiza Theatre in Ginza, Japan whose bamboo stalk ceiling opens up to the garden courtyard outside. The bamboo also forms divisions within the interior, allowing for light and ambient sound to flow naturally through partitioned rooms.
