Peruvian-based Longhi Architects complete their latest residency in Pucusana, Peru. Dubbed “Casa Veronica,” the home is situated on a rocky hillside overlooking a beach and blends the natural and man-made, as the cliffs integrate themselves in the interior and exterior. A 40-meter-long infinity pool on the front edge of the house represents the artificial and lies on the same level as the social areas such as the kitchen, terrace, and dining and living rooms. Two bathrooms are situated above the terrace level complete with shihuahuaco wood-clad balconies. The interior is characterized by a mixture of exposed rock and geometric topography, creating areas of interstitial spaces. Overall, the home gives the firm the opportunity to present a decidedly contemporary Peru.
