Following last year’s concept presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz moves forward with the production of the 2015 S-Class Coupé. Not quite as aggressive-looking as the prototype, the vehicle nevertheless comes equipped with a powerful V8 engine providing 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The interior borrows heavily from the S-Class Sedan while adding extra details like metal trim and more daring color options. Further similarities include an adaptive suspension system dubbed “Magic Body Control” although the S-Class Coupé takes the concept further with the addition of a “curve tilting” function which, upon detecting a bend in the road, leans the car into it, reducing the lateral acceleration acting upon its occupants. Luxurious details take the form of a full LED lighting system complemented by 47 Swarovski crystals and Magic Sky Control, which switches the transparency of the panoramic roof from light to dark at the touch of a button.
Look for the Mercedes-Benz 2015 S-Class Coupé to make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4.
