Australian artist Matthew Bax, founder of several other successful cocktail ventures, opens up shop in Munich with Gamsei, a new artesian cocktail bar. Inspired by “Bavarian culture, and their closeness to nature,” Bax presents a minimalistic cocktail bar, serving pure and all natural drinks, and an equally natural space.

The interior is constructed with locally sourced oak and steel and the ingredients are either sourced from artesian farmers, or forged by the Gamsai staff themselves. While creating a clean, modern space, Gamsai doesn’t stray far from the classic beer hall design that frequents Munich, with open bleacher style seating, looking in at the space and bartenders. Next time you’re in Munich, be sure to try out the ‘Lavender Drunk Bee’ or the ‘Mid Life Crisis’, just a few of their new signature cocktails.
