adidas has just unveiled the followup to their Energy Boost running shoe with version 2.0 getting a release next week. Using the brand’s Boost cushioning technology, the shoe features a one-piece translucent heel to midfoot cage that keeps the foot in place on top of the full-length Boost midsole. The overall result is a much more refined silhouette, while benefiting from the Boost technology which returns more energy than any other foam in the running industry.
By 2015, the majority of adidas’s running shoes will feature Boost, while basketball and baseball shoes will benefit from the technology this year. The Energy Boost 2 drops on February 26 and is available for $160 USD from various sports retailers and adidas.com.
