Another find from new London tradeshow Detail, Tom Hide launched last December with a range of unfussy accessories made in England. Founded by James Hamsom, swapping a career in engineering for design, he describes “the designs are kept as uncomplicated and unobtrusive as possible, resulting in what I feel are classic, pared back designs, devoid of an array of redundant pockets, attachments and widgets.” Hand-stitched and, where required, tough hammered rivets applied, the collection includes iPhone cases, iPad carriers, wallets, keychains and belts, our personal favourite though, the 24oz waxed cotton canvas totes in two styles and two color choices. Sourcing fabrics from Scotland, leather from Chicago USA (who’s up for some Horween?) and copper buckles from the USA and UK, this beautiful line is right up our street. See the Tom Hide collection in our gallery and grab a piece from yourself for the website.
