Volvo is on course for a “transformation” in the coming year. With the preview of the Volvo Concept Estate automobile, the Swedish automaker shares bold changes in its fleet both inside and out. Volvo’s new design language is apparent in the interior changes that bring minimalism to the driver’s view: New touchscreen center console replaces a majority of in-dash buttons and controls and works seamlessly with Volvo’s new “adaptive digital display” in front of the driver. New material use throughout the driver’s side help accentuate forward design momentum from the automaker. The first production vehicle to adapt Volvo’s new design changes is the XC90 coming Fall 2014.
