In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.
It’s been nine years since Frank Miller’s Sin City neo-noir graphic novels got the big screen treatment. Today brings a trailer for the follow up – aptly titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite – weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales – pairing the town’s most hard boiled citizens with some of its more reviled inhabitants. Newcomers Eva Green, Josh Brolin and Joseph Gordon-Leavitt join returnees like Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke, Powers Boothe and Jaime King. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens August 22. The official synopsis appears below.
