Brent Knoll House by March Studio

Located on the rolling hills outside of Melbourne, Australia, Brent Knoll House by March Studio is a modern residence built alongside a 19th-century building. An addition to the existing structure was created in stark contrast, featuring a cantilevered roof and built out of pressed metal, concrete and glass materials. The L-shaped plan features a variety of internal and external spaces, while the slanted roof allows for rainwater collection which can be used by the occupants. Floor-to-ceiling glass panes allow for panoramic views of the surrounding valley and open up to allow for a breeze to pass through the home.
