Urban Residence by Marcelo Sodré

Situated on a corner lot of a steep sloping street in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Urban Residence was designed by architect Marcelo Sodré in staggered forms to counteract the topography. The house is designed around a central courtyard that allows for maximum outdoor living, while still maintaining privacy for the residents. A covered outdoor pavillion and sliding doors that open up make for a relaxed atmosphere that makes use of the warm local weather. Built using modern white and warm timber materials, the crisp design is pierced by the green lawn and surrounding foliage.
