Redcliffs House by MAP Architects

New Zealand practice MAP Architects present the Redcliffs House in Christchurch. The home sits on a steep site in the Port Hills above Redcliffs, protecting itself from the cold, eastern wind, while opening every room onto a deck and the view across the estuary, over the beach, and to the Kaikoura Ranges. The gallery provides space for the residents’ collection of art and acts as the arrival point for visitors, with sight-lines from the main entrance into the living space and view beyond.
