For the second year running, Swiss watchmaker IWC has partnered up with New York’s Tribeca Film Festival to create a unique timepiece that will be auctioned off at the festival to support the not-for-profit Tribeca Film Institute. The IWC Pilot’s Watch Spitfire Chronograph Edition “Tribeca Film Festival 2014″ features a slate-colored dial with two deep red subdials, inspired by Hollywood’s iconic red carpet and the steely grandeur of New York. Encased in an 18K red gold case, a solid case back means the movement isn’t visible but it does come stamped with the Tribeca Film Festival logo. The watch will be auctioned on April 9 at Antiquorum’s Madison Avenue Showroom and is part of a larger package which includes VIP access to the film festival, luxury hotel accommodation, and an invitation to IWC’s For the Love of Cinema private dinner.
