After a first preview the other day, we can give you a detailed look at the soon to release second collaboration by ASICS and Packer Shoes on the Gel Kayano running shoe. As part of the “All Roads Lead to Teaneck” theme, this second sneaker pays tribute to the public transport system.
““Initially when we began mapping out our “All Roads Lead to Teaneck” concept, it was centered around prominent characteristics featured along the many routes traveled to our store. Together with our “highways and byways” iteration of the Asics’ GEL-Kayano Trainer, it quickly dawned on us that we could not complete this project without acknowledging our patrons (and staff members) from neighboring towns and states who use the many modes of mass transit to make the commute to store…””
The second volume of the collaboration sees the ASICS Gel Kayano constructed using grey pigskin suede with purple mesh underlays and dark magenta accents on the midsole. Furthermore additional features include the original “Kayano” patch logo on the tongue, black 3M reflective accents at the base of the laces and rear ankle, with a purple, dark magenta and orange multicolored midsole. The overall look and feel of the sneaker is certainly interesting and has a bit of an outdoor vibe in our mind.
Volume 2 of the Packer Shoes x ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer “All Roads Lead to Teaneck” will be released in limited numbers on April 18 both in-store and online and will go for $140.
