Today the new collaboration between Opening Ceremony and B&O PLAY was announced. The special team-up revolves around a limited edition of the iconic Form 2i headphones that were originally launched in 1985 by the iconic Danish brand. Only recently B&O PLAY relaunched the headphones with an added microphone, remote and improved comfort design. The Opening Ceremony-designed version of Form 2i is a modern and clean take on what can truly be classified as a design icon. Today the headphones actually have a permanent place in the collection at MoMA in New York. Coming in black and in white, the headphones feature the seasonal square black/white Opening Ceremony logo that is also featured on its mainline at the moment. For the launch of the special collaborative project, Opening Ceremony and Maluca Mala produced a music video for the singer’s track “Trigger.” The headphones take center stage in the aforementioned music video where Maluca discovers a whole new dimension to life in New York City when she puts on the pair of Form 2i and the whole city erupts in an animated color explosion. Not only are the Opening Ceremony x B&O PLAY Form 2i headphones out now at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and London, as well as their online store, special listening stations have also been placed in both stores. Certainly worth checking out on your next store visit.
