Pixelated Watercolor Paintings by Adam Lister

American painter Adam Lister continues to explore renowned artworks and pop culture iconography through his pixelated watercolor paintings. Inspired by the 8-bit graphics of the Atari and Nintendo game consoles he played as a kid, Lister employs a similar aesthetic throughout his work, resulting in images which are familiar yet nostalgic at the same time. Sci-fi and fantasy movie characters are made abstract while retaining the characteristics they are known for.
