The crew at Gear Patrol take a tour of the Mercedes-Benz Classics Center, Irvine, California, on first inspection, a museum to MBs past, this plant is in fact a restoration facility, bringing some of the rarest of these German classics back to their former glory. We’re told that Southern California has an incredible concentration of old Mercedes which prompted the company to set up their first non-European location here on a rather unassuming business park. Focusing on post-war motors, the center’s particular speciality is the beautiful 300 SL Gullwing, the incredibly skilled team currently working on an old special edition which will be valued around two million dollars by the time the job is complete. Extraordinary. More in the gallery, for the full story and image set head over to Gear Patrol.
