Meet Harri and Astrid. They’re a German-Finnish couple – one a successful set designer, the other a famous musician. They don’t actually exist, but for artistic purposes the London-based design firm Studioilse invented them as a reason to create the most beautifully furnished apartment you’ll see all week. Kitted out almost exclusively in items by Vitra and Artek, the loft space of the VitraHaus showroom in Weil am Rhein has been transformed into a living space for the fictitious couple, allowing viewers to visualize the products in a “real life” environment. And, judging by their taste in decor, it looks like Harri and Astrid would be living a pretty comfortable “real life” indeed.
