Los Angeles-based footwear designer Cameron Helm recently launched his Spring/Summer 2014 men’s footwear collection consisting of a high- and low-top sneaker, and an oxford. While working on a series of paintings, Helm noticed how the paint dripping onto his shoes created a design that resonated with him. Shortly after, he began to use his shoes as his canvas. After receiving positive responses about his work, he decided to take his original paintings and scan them to replicate them digitally, and then printed them onto the shoes that you see before you. Produced in a century-old factory in Portugal, Cameron Helm’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection is now available at American Rag.
