The folk at Roundel offer us an exclusive look as the brand returns for Fall/Winter 2014 with their first full collection. The project, headed up by Andrew Bunney and Slam Jam, continues to celebrate “British subculture and the democratic nature of the London Underground,” combining a strong set of graphics with youth casuals. Stand outs include an exceptional chenille patch MA-1 bomber, a uniform inspired raincoat, ’90s skate-friendly long sleeved tees and a bold moquette fabric button down shirt. This time round we’re also offered a selection of impressive accessories, coated canvas moquette across zip pouches, oyster cardholders, wallets and backpacks – all produced in Italy. Dipping into the substantial London Transport archives, artwork, taglines and lettering from the ’20s through to the ’70s find home throughout the line, distilling the best from the past into a decidedly modern collection. See it all in the gallery.
