Tarifa House by James & Mau Arquitectura

Inspired by Andalusian “Pueblos Blancos” architecture, the Tarifa House by James & Mau Arquitectura sits on a hillside in southern Spain overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. The local climate has influenced the residence’s design, with high humidity and hot temperatures dictating an open plan site. Clad in white metal mesh, rectangular volumes are centered around a pond with the house opening up to accommodate air circulation, while a patio and pergola that span the length of the house enable maximum outdoor living.
